Need-based access
Scholarship support is intended for students whose families could not otherwise afford advanced mentored research opportunities.
Virtual Research Foundation is an access initiative in formation, created to expand scholarship support for students with demonstrated financial need who are ready for serious mentored research.
Overview
The Foundation's purpose is to help qualified students participate in rigorous online research mentorship when cost would otherwise be a barrier.
Scholarship support is intended for students whose families could not otherwise afford advanced mentored research opportunities.
The Foundation is focused on access to mentor-guided research experiences in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, and related fields.
Access Mission
Many students are ready for serious academic work but lack access to specialized mentorship, university networks, or family resources.
Scholarship support would prioritize students with demonstrated financial need and clear interest in sustained academic work.
Support would be directed toward students prepared to engage thoughtfully with mentor-led research, collaborative work, and meaningful intellectual challenge.
Scholarship processes should be objective, documented, and centered on student access and educational benefit.
Relationship to VRI
